Crying the Blues?

Crying the Blues?  I think not!

Big day today at the Inter-regional Tournament.  The girls had 2 games to deal with today.  Fortunately, the weatherman cooperated and gave the girls cool windy weather for the afternoon game against the team from Utah.  Game one in the books with a win.  The girls played really well and seemed to have a lot of fun in doing so.

The evening game featured our West Coast Girls against the host club SC Blues.  Without getting too deep into this, the Blue are a very popular club, even though that Highlighter Yellow is rather gross.  However, I guess with popularity, especially in Southern California, come a bit of arrogance.  Not the players, they are confident, and deservedly so, some of the parents I could do without.  The coaching brothers, well, lets say I wasn't the biggest fans of going into the game.  But after the game watching the U11 Blues Girls, a group of amazing young ladies, who just played their rivals to an incredible 0-0 tie, walking off the field after the "pep talk" from their coach crying their eyes out.  Well that just down right pissed, this 22 year ex-coach, off.

Kudos to all the girls for playing their hearts out in this tournement.  Yes especially Kudo's to our Toni who did leave up to her nickname....The Beast.  She was on fire against the Blues.

But the picture of the day, submitted by Jamie has to go to the true nature of the girls on our team, who as much as they love the game and bust their butts on the field, at the end of the day, they would rather be giggly 11 year olds.

Inter-Regional Soccer Tournement

Today was the first day of 3 brutally hot soccer days for our girls.  The competition proved to be as promised.  In first game our girls were a little off their game.  They played USA Stars from Northern California, these girls were billed as "winning everything" and they showed it yesterday.  Still our girls were a bit short handed and flat, it would have been curious to see how they would have played at full staff and on their game.

The answer came in the afternoon game the girls came out, well like our girls.  They were on it.  The photo of the day has to belong to Brittyn who in the second game was Miss Everything, with a lot of help from her friends.  Brittyn had a natural hatrick!!! 3 goals all in succession.  The girls won game two 4-1.

Rekindled the Friendship and found a new one

Tonight was the opening event for what is going to be a long, very long and hot weekend of Soccer.  Toni's team is involved in a 6 team round robin event with 5 other team on the west coast.  Yes I said it, at 11 years old, girls traveled from as far away as Washington State to play in an inter-regional event...at 11.  The tournament is being put together by the Baker Brothers the coaches for the Blues here in Orange County, who of course were sporting their matching Justin Bieber haircuts.

One of the other teams invited was the San Diego Surf team, which meant Toni got to see here ODP friend Angeline(http://greggvscamera.blogspot.com/2013/04/fun.html picture 2).  After the initial start up the coaches asked the girls to hang out with someone from another team.  Toni found her friend.

While the parents watched, I got to meet another new friend, Dozer...Bull Dozer.

What is that smell?

First of all Happy Anniversary to Peter and Madeline Bonfiglio!!! Mom and Dad celebrate there 54th year of marriage today.  Which I am sure if you ask my dad entitles him to at least Sainthood.  But he knows how lucky they both are to have each other.

Anyway today was my first real day in the office in what feels like a month.  Judging from my inbox probably is a month.  Started the day at my desk around 7am, I did not leave except for filling the water bottle, for around 12 hours, I have the chair sores to prove it.

The fear that I always have on desk days is, what the hell am I going to take a picture of?  Well yesterday's sunset through the sliding glass door helped set up today's picture and probably saved me a ton of aggravation, although it did cause some too.

I noticed yesterday after cleaning the sliding door just how dirty the kitchen window was, so OCD in full gear today I reached under the kitchen sink for the glass cleaner and was smacked in the face with a strong moldy smell, even now typing this, it is still in my nose.

Fortunately under the sink I keep throwing cleaning towels, right under the disposal because it has been leaking on those towels for some time now, because when I reached my hand in I heard the squish sound.

End of a Good Day

Crazy busy day today.  My buddy Keith was in town.  We were doing some end user calls now that some of the training and demo activities are done for the week.  We got in a couple hours at Casta Del Sol.  Paired up with a couple of guys that rode each other all day long.  Although I think I shot better, I walked off with an 82, not bad due to the sand and a couple of putts that should have fallen.

After that Keith got stuck with the family for dinner, even though I probably could have cooked it on the concrete it was so damn  hot, I fired up the grill for some Kalbi Steak from The Meat House in Mission Viejo.  The cuts were a little thicker this time, but Baxter was still loving it.  So did the rest of us.

The sunset through the sliding door in the dining room was enough to cap off the day.

Except I should have opened the screen door.....

Freebird

Did you ever wonder if your pets are happy?  With Baxter I know the answer as long as he gets to lay on the bed(and now if steak ends up on the grill).  But what about those domesticated animals that usually live in the wild?  Maya as an example I think she is happy especially when she is up to no good or on my shoulder.  But I am sure Africa would be more fun that Rancho Santa Margarita, even with out my shoulder.

I was able to end the day a little earlier today then the new norm.  I decided to sit down in the living room and watch what turned out to be the final game of the College World series.  Congratulations to our Local boys the "small ball" playing UCLA Bruins.  109 titles and only the first in Baseball, kind of hard to believe.

Anyway, while I was watching the game I noticed a bird sitting on the fence outside the window Maya is usually perched by.  Jamie said the bird was there all day.  So it got me to wondering is Maya happier with us or if she were in the wild??

Well in the wild, they don't have steamed string beans!!!

Soak

The scene shifts to San Diego.  This week will be all about San Diego and round 2 of trainings and demos.  Today was setup and a visit to Kash's new digs before dinner with one of our partners.  It was a busy day, too busy.  The good news was I got to take a picture of one of the better parts of the day.  I got to soak the weary bones at the Doubletree of San Diego jacuzzi.  My room was over looking the golf course which is like a tease.  Fortunately the course looked horrible, too bad, they really need to get their act in gear here....

But the Doubletree Cookie was awesome!!...I was going to take a picture of the cookie, but it didn't last that long.

Clouds

Today we have our friend Camryn hanging out with us.  Jamie was nice enough to send me to Casta Del Sol to golf with Brian in the afternoon.  Shot really well.  79 on an executive course, basically shot bogey golf.  A couple of great shots, about 6 or 7 I would like over again, but 33 putts, so they are on the right track.

After golfing the girls decided to go see Monsters U, the movie received very good reviews from them.  I caught up on a ton of emails.  We decided to meet for dinner around 7:45.  I was hoping to see the supermoon, but no such luck.

I did get to see results from an amazing sunset.

Bagger Vance Would be Proud

Today was another big Soccer Saturday.

A little about Toni and her soccer ability, and again this is coming from a 22 year youth and teen sports coach, not as a parent.  Toni really has a talent for the game she plays, and like I used to say when I played Goalie on the ice, she doesn't play soccer, she plays Keeper.  There just happens to be a soccer game going on in front of her.

From the time she was converted from a field player to the goal she has always played extremely well and a times, dominated.  I would like to say that I have or had something to do with it, but the genes came from Jamie and George, the only thing I taught her was to punt, from my football knowledge, she really booms the ball.  Her keeper coach Victor Nogueira really is the key to most of her success, they have that great coach player relationship.

Now, the coaches of the various teams she is involved with have her working on ball movement and involving her in the game more.  They are working on, amongst others, her driving the ball down the field after a pass back.  The advice I gave her was similar to Bagger Vance's line..... I tell her, "just bash the living crap out of it".  Today she put a couple of balls over the 50 yard line.

Bagger would be proud....

Another Day at the Office

Today was the last of the demo days in our LA office.  I was not supposed to be at the office, I was actually supposed to be several different places including a friend's wedding.  Anyway, I begrudgingly went to the office, I am starting to carry a mood with me, so the day would just feel long.  Well it didn't take long for the day to go south, I decided to be a nice guy and grab the door for the FedEx guy.

Well ya know how when you rush something, things can go bad.  This was one of those things.  I caught the side of my shoe with the door, well apparently someone had done it before or they had an issue the door because the bottom metal safety runner was bent and it caught the side of my shoe.(picture two)

Trying to keep the day positive and not simply posting a picture of my new shoe with a hole in it, although I ultimately couldn't resist.  I did take a nice photo of the fountain outside the office....before I threw my shoe in it....I guess I decided to make a wish for a new pair.

Finally

The playoffs for both the NBA and the NHL have been crazy and very long.  Tonight, Finally the NBA Season and Playoffs Finally came to an end.  For me it ended when the Lakers, because Kobe...no, it is too painful.... The only thing I really had to watch for was the hope that Lebron James and the Heat would not win it all.

I didn't mind James when he played for the Cleveland Lebrons, it was heroic to watch a guy try to carry a team and his childhood city on his back.  It didn't even bother me that he would probably leave to go win a Championship.  But I said it while it was happening, if LeBron decided to leave Cleveland, out of respect and class, if he was not going to return, he should have quietly and in advance of him "taking his talents......" sorry I just threw up in my mouth, he should told the city and ownership that he was leaving.

Cleveland should not have been done the way Lebron did them....trust me that was not easy to type...I am a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.

Anyway finally the season is over.  However, now I cannot turn on ESPN for the next month.....

Another Sad Day

Earlier in the year we lost a Legend in Sports, Dr. Jerry Buss The owner of the Los Angeles Lakers(http://greggvscamera.blogspot.com/2013/02/sad-day.html).  Dr. Buss changed the way the NBA is seen.  Today I fully intended to post the picture of our team Dim Sum Lunch until I got a text from my Nephew.  I knew I had to pay a tribute on my Blog.

His text was "Tony Soprano Died".  I thought for a second they were going to make a Soprano's movie and my nephew was scooping me.  I have watch every episode of the Soprano's being a Jersey boy myself.  As much as I thought the series ended so dumb,  I was glad that they didn't kill off Tony Soprano.

Today, with all respect, the fine Actor who brought us Tony Soprano, James Gandolfini pass away from a Heart Attack, he was 51.  Ironically and maybe fittingly he passed away while visiting Italy.  All things considered I would have rather seen the character Tony Soprano die, than the Fine Actor that brought him to life.

Every Cable TV actor owes Mr. Gandolfini a debt of gratitude, he changed the industry.  Rest in Peace Sir.

Minion Invasion

You have to hand it to those guys at Universal Pictures.  Just as the folks at Disney and Pixar are about to premier Monsters U the people at Universal Pictures a couple weeks later in on the July 4th weekend will launch Dispicable Me 2.  The movie openings being so close together will no doubt cut in to the box office revenue for Monsters U.   If that was not enough they shoved it right in Disney's face, advertising on their home field!!

But, first a little geography lesson for the folks not in the states or familiar with the Anaheim CA area.  Anaheim is where DisneyLand is located.  Anaheim also has a Baseball team the Los Angeles Angels of Anahiem...do get me started on that naming stupidity.  The Stadium is about 1 mile from DisneyLand.  During Major league baseball games there is Aerial coverage provided by a blimp.  In our area the GoodYear blimp(see my blog from January: http://greggvscamera.blogspot.com/2013/01/oh-look-it-is-goodrich-blimp.html) provides the aerial photography.

Well it seems that the folks at Universal Pictures high jacked the GoodYear blimp.  Unfortunately all I had was my cell phone for this picture.  Left my camera in the hotel room, crazy day.

Monsters with a View

Now starts the craziness.  For the next 5 weeks we will be in product launch mode.  Lot's of days on the road and lots of customers to train.  Tomorrow is the launch with my Southern California resellers which means today was set up and tweaking day.  Knowing it was going to be a long couple of days, it is actually 11:24 as I am writing this and I have a 7am breakfast with Lee in the morning, I decided it was best to stay up in the Anaheim area, especially after traffic was backed up all morning on the 5 and 405.

We got done setting up around 5, and fought the traffic back to the hotel before dinner.  Today's photo would be an easy one, dinner with the team.  Although we ended up at Hooters, as Kash said, because Lee and Shawn have never been there before.  But there was no bringing a camera in that restaurant, the whole creepy old guys thing and all.

Fortunately, staying near Disneyland and being this close to the release of Monster University, the fine folks at Disney Pixar gave us the perfect photo.  Plus the view outside my room gave us another.

Happy Father's Day

First of all, I need to say Happy Father's Day to my buddies, and my brothers(even the pain in the ass one), and of course the Best one of all Peter J. Bonfiglio Jr.,  my pops, Mr. B, Dad, Junior.  It is because of him I am who I am...back injury and stomach ailments and all.  I wouldn't trade the pain or the rushing to the bathroom to have anyone else as a Father.  Happy Father's Day Junior!

Ya know speaking of Father's Day, people always tell you on Father's Day to "relax, you earned it".  Well in the true Peter J. Bonfiglio Jr fashion, it was let's see how much we can get accomplished in one day Father's Day.  With the exception of the Amazing brunch at Riptide Jamie and Toni took me too and the phone call with Kristin I think I capture all rest of the craziness in photos for the blog today. Except of course what happened in the bedroom "wink, wink".

Yeah, Baxter and I laid in my bed for about 2 hours watching the US Open....What did you think I meant!!!  It was just nice to see pros putt as poorly as I do.

Anyway, a couple of the other highlights were taking Mayabird to Omar Exotic Birds for a grooming, SHE HATES IT!!! But it made for a great picture when she was done, because her feather get so ruffled and she just looks pitiful.  The usually reserve African Grey Screams like she is being attacked, although today she was quiet. She is Picture 1 and 2.  Even Miss Pam from Omars made the blog, she owns the coolest African Grey, "Turkey".  When you shoot Turkey with your finger gun, she says "pow pow....oh you got me".

The third picture today was of the whole X-Men Family(see entry http://greggvscamera.blogspot.com/2013/02/the-x-men.html).  Not the easiest photos to take, we were fighting the 5 pm hot white sun, the partial shade, the haze, the moron people that kept walking into the back of our shot, 2 little ones on different schedules and sitting in goose poop.

Finally Toni and Jamie spotted the "Big Dragon" in the backyard.  For those of you new to the blog, dragons, as named on this blog are lizards(and one Dragon Fly...and one license plate).  I think in the blog so far we are up to 6, now 7, and we name them all.  But as Toni says this the huge one!!! So it is fitting that we see him on Father's Day...so he is the "Big Daddy Dragon".

Happy Father's Day!

I Hit It, But I Didn't Break It....Yet

90....a 90...really?

Today was a crazy busy day.  It ended with a trip to Home Depot and an Emergency trip to Lowe's.  We think we might have figured out the tree issue.  Also did some much needed landscaping on the side of the house.  And of course the last minute trip to Lowe's because a sprinkler head was shooting straight up in the air.

But today was about golf at Green River.  It was about the new look, soft white balls and the Storm Trooper putter.  And yes, the putter was on, no more 43 putts.  Today was 35 putts!!!!  They felt good and Brian said they looked good.  Yup I was on my way, I was going to break 90.  The driver was working, although it wasn't the 88% as shown below, it was more like 77%.

Of course the dreaded 5th hole was the only hole where the drive really could have been in trouble.  I always hit into those trees, a couple of times even hitting out left me 20-30 yards further back then when I started ;-).  Today Brian had the idea on how to get out, unfortunately I still managed to end up with a 7 on that relatively easy Par 5.  Finished the front 9 at 45.

The back nine was going great even though the very difficult Par 3 10th saw a 175 yard drive on to the green with the dreaded 3 putt finish.  I was kicking butt until the freakin 16th hole.  If I could par out 16-17&18 I would shoot an 87.

The 16th a down hill 168 yard par 3 with water on the left and 2 bleeping horribly filled sand traps with high lips protecting the green, and yes the flag was nestled 5 yards behind the sand on the left.  I hit a beautiful 3 wood that was 2 feet shorter than I needed to clear the sand.  "Plunk" right into the "sand trap".  Then yes, a disastrous 3 shots to get out of the freakin sand.  Then a long 2 putts for a 6...a 6, are you kidding?(I think I said something different on the course....right before I threw my ball in the g-d pond!! In hindsight I should have thrown their rake in....not like you can rake cement!!!

Well with a strong 17 and 18 the two 500 yard par 5s, parring both. I finished with my best round ever 90!  I will take it....today.

The First Day of the Rest of My Life

Ok Maybe my golfing life.  Some days the postman bring better things than other days.  Today he brought the second best thing he can bring.  Today he brought Dick's Sporting Goods reward dollars and golf discount coupons!!!! Yeah, you can figure out the best thing.

So at the end of the day I headed to Dick's.  As many of you who follow the blog know, and unfortunately for a few of you, you guys know first hand.  I cannot putt!!(that was the nicest way to say it)

Today I was going to retire the SeeMore putter and go with the blade.  As yes no more of my signature Yellow Balls.  It is time to try a softer ball see if we can fix this putting thing and finally break 90.

As I am writing this blog entry Toni is in my office Putting with the new club.  Yes, for the record she is a better putter than I am.  I think Stevie Wonder is a better putter than I am.  Anyway, she said the putter looks like a Rocketship, I told her is looks like a Storm Trooper from StarWars(see second picture)...She agreed... I think when I walk on to the green I need to hum the Darth Vader Death March theme song to put me in the mood.

At Death's Door

The funniest part of the day was the comment that Toni made.  She is having an issue with one of her friends at school and we have been trying to help her through it. Well, Toni is growing into a taller athletic young lady, her friend is a boy that is awaiting his growth spurt.  She told me about what happened today and it didn't go the way we hoped.  So I told her to "be the bigger person", she looked at me and "Pop I am always bigger than he is..."

Today was another one of "those way too many things to get done" days. I needed to head out for a while in the afternoon.  I made sure I grabbed my camera, because I haven't always been taking it with me and have been missing shots.  Well I didn't need to leave the house today to get the best picture, one that cracked me up.

You see it has been heating up in Southern California lately and it being the afternoon the sun was baking our backyard.  Jamie is very careful to stay out of the sun, that's why she looks so young and beautiful.  But she wanted to get some sun on her legs, but thought better at laying in the sun.  So she compromised.....so have I.

Well mine is not really a compromise.  Mine is a show of great intelligence and a bit of ability in Photoshop.  I knew if I posted a picture of Jamie on the blog, it would be the death of me.

So I combined the idea....please enjoy "at death's door" ....tape-line not to scale.  I love you Honey.

All Grown Up

The old photographers and cinematographers rule states it is never a good idea to work with Kids or Animals.   Tonight I tried to do both, not easy.

But before I go there, and because it is my blog, I get to make a statement first way off the subject.  This time it is to all those "Lebron James is the greatest basketball play in the history of the world and now that the Heat had a lopsided victory the finals are over" people, umm the Spurs have some pretty good players too....Thanks Spurs, I love to see people look dumb.

Anyway, back to the Photoblog portion of the program. Back in December of 2011 when Baxter was still a puppy I took a picture with him. Tonight my dumb idea was to recreate that picture of Baxter and I from when he was 8 weeks old.  Well I learned that Baxter trusts me a little less now then when he was a puppy.  I also learned that I am smart enough not to push him too hard, especially not when I am trying to take a picture.  So while I was not able to recreate the exact picture to show how much he as grown in 16 months.  It is pretty clear by the photos how much he has grown.  The first picture was from December 2011, the second the official blog post from today.

Let the "awwww"s begin.

In need of Support

Every so often you need support from your friends or family, fortunately for me I have an amazing family a often noted wonderful finance(she is taking me to Riptide on Father's day so I have to be nice) and great group of friends.  But sometimes even that is not good enough, sometimes you may need to turn to alternative means.  Sometimes those means can be positive influences in your life... and sometimes they can be negative.

Many times your problems, or your issues, that cause you to need support can be self made or environmental.  Other times it can be that you have taken on too much responsibility or you have to carry too much burden.  Other times you try to bloom or blossom into what other people want and again it is too much for your trunk or roots to handle.

Sometimes, to stand up and face the world, you just need a crutch... or a stick... or 3.  That's what happened to our Palm.

Ballhog

Today, instead of me behind the camera, I was in front of it.  Theoretically, I was under it.  Today was the MRI on my back, 53 minutes of banging noises with my nose 6 inches from a 1,500lb machine....that is comforting.  Thank God for the Eagles Greatest Hits getting me through it.  Anyway, after that the last thing I wanted to think about was another camera, of course I wasn't smart enough to bring mine and take a picture of the MRI machine make it my topic today.

After dinner the Baxter continued to be his rambunctious self today.  Jamie thinks it is because he is happier now that he pooped out another sock.  Seriously....next time, and I am sure there will be a next time, I will use it as my photo of the day.

Ya know, I realize Baxter hasn't been on the blog for over 50 days, since before we left for Barcelona.  Clearly that is why he has been sad the last couple days.  So I took him out in the back and played ball...then he decided the game was over and he was going to hog both balls.  Good luck getting them away from him, at least it made for an ok picture.

Welcome back son.

Golfing Pains

Growing pains, as I seem to recall, are a part of maturing as a human being.  Well today I learned another maturation pain....Golfing Pain.  The pain of maturing as a golfer.  Today I learned that is possible for every part of your game to hurt.  It started at about the 2nd hole.

We played at Talega this morning, I usually play well there.  Our tee time was at 9:30, first mistake.  Now I know why we play very earlier, you beat the crowds.  The course started to back up on about the 3rd hole and stayed backed up for the remainder of the 5 freaking hours we were on the course.  Maybe that was what got in my head.

Today I complimented my usually crappy putting by consistently hitting horrible second shots with a sprinkling of uncontrollable drives.  My day was so bad that I even struggled with my golf bag.  But that was courtesy of whichever A-hole TSA agent "inspected" my clubs on their way to Atlanta, trashing the interior club management system buy pulling out all my clubs a once.

Anyway, decided I was a better photographer than a golfer and just shot my best club of all, my camera.  I even got another bee(with a pollen sack).  The second shot was the par 3 5th hole.  No I did not sink my ball in the water!!!..... I shanked it off into the bushes to the left about 20 yards away....yeah rough day.

Enjoy the pictures.

The Kings Scalped of their Crown

I mean no disrespect to my Native American brothers.  But a bet is a bet.  All week long at our partner meetings the evenings were about the NHL Western Conference Finals.  The Chicago Blackhawks vs the Los Angeles Kings.

For my Spanish followers, this is not as big as Barcelona vs Real Madrid, however within our little group it was pretty big.  Big enough to put our money were our mouths were.  After the Kings took game 3, my partner Glen(Big Blackhawks fan) told me he was glad his team lost, now the 7 game series would go back to Chicago.  You see he had tickets to game five.  In his words and prediction he wanted to see the Hawks close it out.

So I bet him that if the Kings won game five, he had to send me Garrett's popcorn, a Chicago(and now Vegas thank god!) speciality.(http://www.garrettpopcorn.com/) .  But, if the Hawks beat the Kings, I would give Glen the photo-rites to my blog.  Relax...I did not break the rules, I did take a photo of my own just not posting.

So tonight Glen and his Chicago Blackhawks own the Western Hockey world and the photo blog(of course I had to make the photo worthy of your attention first).  Good luck in the Stanley cup Finals.

Well...Howdy Partner

This is an Ironic post, you see the event in Atlanta this week was a "partner" event.  Today minus a couple of meetings and a great lunch with a couple of "partners" was pretty much air travel.

My local airport is Santa Ana/Orange County, but it is simply called John Wayne.  For the younger readers and those folks not from the United States, incidentally we are now up to 14 countries as we added Nigeria and Cambodia to the audience, so welcome.

Oh yeah "Partner" and the Irony.  So tonight I flew in to John Wayne airport, because it was late, US Air parked at whatever gate was available.  They parked in Terminal A and my bags were coming into Terminal B.  I walked from Bag Claim to bag claim on the ground level.  I noticed a huge United States Flag hanging from the ceiling in an atrium that was 3 stories tall.  Under the flag was a statue of the "Duke" John Wayne.  It figures, since the freakin airport is named after him.  Well again for those not aware the Duke's famous line was "well....howdy partner".  Get it? Partner event..Howdy Partner????

It is amazing how asleep I must be when I fly.  I have flown in and out of John Wayne over 400 times and I never noticed the statue until to day.  Well at least you guys have now too.

More than a Little Fishy

Tonight is our last night in Atlanta, everyone of us gets to head home to our loved ones.  Personally I cannot wait, especially thanks to one perfectly timed sleepover.  I Need to blog early!

Oh that's right...last night in Atlanta.  The group went to the Georgia Aquarium while I missed the tour of the facility thanks to an Error 30 on my Canon 7D.  I guess they didn't like the blog the other day.  Anyway in the area where we had our event they had two huge aquariums, one with Beluga Whales then one with a mixture of Rays and a huge Bull Shark.  Today is less about the blog and more about photos.

Here are a bunch.

If there is enough Humidity

I grew up in NJ, the term 90 - 90 was part of my normal talk track.  What did that mean?  90% Humidity at 90 degrees.  Well that now seems comfortable for Atlanta!!!!  Not sure what the temperature actually was today, however I needed to take 2 showers today, so I am assuming the humidity was into the upper 90%.

About 4 o'clock I said to myself, "self, I wonder what happens when it gets too humid?".  Well apparently it all comes crashing in huge drops!!!! And it happens fast!

How Many people did it take?

Today was day two of training.  It was the competitive day.

Sometime manufacturers make a product that might not be as intuitive as others.  We found one, or at least a part of one from our friends at Canon.  As much as you know I enjoy my Canon Cameras, their printers well, not the best...don't get me started as too why.  I have too many friends over there to embarrass here.

They do have one interesting device as part of one of their printers, it is the catch bin on their printer to be exact.  You look at it and you think how hard could this be to set up.  Well we put Hien on it, truth be told he is the smartest guy in the group, we figured no instructions no problem.  Well, he needed a bit of help figuring out this one with out the instructions... fortunately he had some time and some friends...8 to be exact....(word of advice Hien, after the baby is born, recruit a friend to help on Christmas eve!!)

Life is short, celebrate the little accomplishments!!!!

The Spanish Grand Prix

Ok not quite.....

Here is it now Monday night in Atlanta.  It feel like we have been here forever already....and it is only Monday.  Today was the first day of training, it feel like I have already seen so much.  If also feels like I gave a hundred hugs out.  However the real fun started when the whole group went to Andretti's.  It was a cross between Dave and Buster's and K1 racing.

I was smart, I decided my enjoyment tonight would be to capture everyone else's enjoyment.  As I sit here now writing this I realized just how smart that was.  Not withstanding the fact that our Category Manager almost crashed through the barrier right where I was shooting.  The Barcelona gang donned helmets and drove these cars at speeds of about 45 mph.  I am thinking now that many of these folks actually don't own cars, have driver's licenses or simply don't drive regularly.

Yeah, "no bumping" the man said....that was wishful thinking.  The good news there were no injuries....except for some bruised egos.

Tonight's photo(s) is the Spanish Race team....and our friend Anabela's race.  Now she has to come to SoCal to drive with Toni and I.

The Junior Masters

Today was the first day in Atlanta, first day of what will no doubt be a very long week.  At least we got to golf today.  It wasn't quite the Masters, but it was still Golf in Georgia, for me, it was another one of those days when the putter did not seem to work especially on the front 9.  4 three putts can kill a score, just like it did to me today.

At least the Golf Course was awesome, Saint Marlo Country Club.   We did at least make some progress, on the back 9, I walked off with a 44 which was the same score Tiger had at the memorial on the back 9.  Gage shot his best day ever 91, I finished with a 92.  We fixed Dave's drive, he will be on fire next time especially the way he putts.

I almost killed the ROFLMAO guys

It was a long travel day to Atlanta.  When I finally got here I met up with Dave and Gage and we headed out to watch the Miami Heat lose.  So it was an ok day.

Do you remember these guys, the ROFLMAO guys?
I almost ran them over with my Rental Van when we left Buffalo Wild Wings.  Before they got away I captured them on the backup camera in the Van.
