Playoffs!?!?!?! We are talking Playoffs??

Minus the first day of March Madness, in this house U-S-S-U-A-L-L-Y the first day of Hockey Playoffs is a big sports holiday.  But let's face it both the Philadelphia Flyers  and the Edmonton Oilers Suck, so no home team playoffs for us.  Fortunately both the Flyers and Oilers have sent players to either the Ducks or Kings so Jamie and I have something to hang on to.  Although Jamie refuses to hang on the Ducks.

Today was another office day, so boring in the house, plus Toni got out of Keeper practice so the picture of the day would be challenging.  Then Fox Sports West gave me a good one, and pretty much encapsulated my night, beside the fight to stay awake because of the 4:30 wake up.

Fortunately for me we have the wide screen TV in the Bedroom, unfortunately for the Clippers, Blake Griffin has High ankle sprain and for the Kings, Johnathan Quick has a goalie stick in his hand. (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1624870-kings-vs-blues-video-watch-jonathan-quick-blow-game-1-with-costly-turnover)

Plus if you ever wanted to see how I handled a puck as a goalie, yea that link pretty much sums that up too.

Thanks Maga

So I guess today really is the last day of vacation.  I had a full day worth of conference calls and phone meetings with partners to close out the half.  Then of course the hour long search for my Harley Keys, which for some stupid reason I left in one of the garage cabinets, but why was it in the one cabinet that for some even more stupid reason was the only cabinet in the garage I didn't look in 3 times before.

Anyway, the main reason I am sure this is the end of vacation is because Maga, Toni's grandmother is going back to the great white north of Edmonton in the morning.  So I figure it was fitting that she be on the blog tonight.  Once we calmed Toni down, the picture would do the trip justice.

Thanks for all you help this week.  I am sure this picture will make the April collage as well.

It is Sunday Right?

Finally back home!!!

My bed felt so good to wake up in this morning.  So much so that I decided to go back and take a nap.  One of the high points of my day.  Before I touch on another high point that is my photoblog topic, I have to vent a bit.

I needed to get my haircut and drop off clothes and my HOG Vest to have the 2013 patch put on it at the dry cleaners.  So of course it was only fitting to take the Harley to accomplish these tasks, see March 29th for my baby (http://greggvscamera.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-other-love-of-my-life.html) .  But here is where my vent comes in.  I just took the bike in to have the tires done and oil change and the 10,000 miles service.  So how is it possible that a fine tuned piece of machinery that was just checked out by the dealer has a battery that drains down if the lights are left on with the bike not running for 8 minutes and the bike is always connected to my battery tender?!!?!!  Come on Man!!

Ok enough venting, Sunday afternoon mean Futsal, and because it was an early enough game it meant Sushi after with Ken, Renae, Micah and PJ!!!  This time it was going to be my Sushi restaurant Riptide in Mission Viejo.

Since the girls were so awesome at dinner and so cute, they are the official blog post today, however we do have to post the dessert as second.  The description of what is in the roll is there as well.  Well done Riptide, well done.

Introducing the Sweet Tooth Roll  - Sweet Chocolate, Fresh mango and bananas wrapped in soy paper and chocolate topped with sweet coconut flakes, macadamia nuts and drizzled with homemade strawberry and chocolate sauces....YUM.  Tastes much better than it looks.

One more Landing

Ok so I guess we did get on the correct flight after all, or I spent the day with someone else's family.  Today was our final day in Philly and my final chance to warn Patrick that I better get prom pictures next week!

Jamie and I spent the morning with Kristin and Patrick, we learned how they met and when.... no comment.  One more opportunity to remind my mom "only the chocolate Cannolis!".  Then one more stop by the store of my choice to spend a last minute coupon,  then it was time to head to the airport for our flight to LAX.

The flight felt so long and painful and we were even in first class.  As much fun as this trip was and as great as everyone was that we got to hang out with, it just drove home the point that the greatest destination in travel is still...Home.

Jamie and I have been so twisted around with all the flights...and the spelling of our destination that we weren't sure if we were indeed on the right flight heading back to LA, until I saw today's photoblog topic in the gate waiting area.

Everyone this is Sharona(just like the song)...yes definitely this is the flight back to LA.

The long trip home

Not really much to post today, especially as 12 hours of the day were spent traveling home or at least to where my family is....I think.  I know my Boarding pass says Philadelphia, but the Spaniards have a differing opinion......

Boy I hope I am getting on the right flight.

Group Picture....Family Photo

Today is Thursday in Barcelona, the last real full day in the city.  Today was all about the city, the churches, the Architecture, the history, and Yes the FOOD.  But really today was the last real opportunity we had to be together as a group.  I want to again Thank the group for everything and for making Jamie feel so comfortable.    And yes I really have to Thank my beautiful "29 year old"  Finance for making my trip the best trip ever and for putting up with me.  Honey now you can sleep.

We really are leaving this amazing week with new friends and excitement for future adventure with our new friends.

When I set this trip up I was concerned if it would be fun, would everyone get along, etc?  I guess the best answer "to did this trip go well?" was the 10 minute goodbye and the group hug back at the Grand Marina.  Today's bittersweet post is the last night's team photo(yes it is an official post because I had it on a timer).  Now it is saved on the blog for as long as Google exists.

A Dali and An Octopussy....Hmmmm makes sense

I know this post is really late, but between the Internet speed at the hotel, the crazy schedule that our friend Mina was keeping us on, and well frankly my new hobby....Alcoholism.  Someone needs to take me to an AA meeting!!!

Today, Wednesday was our trip to The Salvador Dali Museum as well the City of Gironi.  The museum was as bizarre as the man himself.  The guy was obsessed with sex....don't judge, who amongst us isn't.

The connection I have with Dali is the melting clocks, I love them, for the examples see my blog entries from January 4th (http://greggvscamera.blogspot.com/2013/01/salvador-dali-is-turning-over-in-his.html) and January 5th(http://greggvscamera.blogspot.com/2013/01/salvador-dali-is-turning-over-in-his.html).

After a very long day of walking, looking and driving we had dinner with our friends Aurelia, Luis and Raul, plus Frank and the Southern California crew from ARC. Yes there was an obscene amount of Alcohol and Seafood at this dinner.  The picture I have to post for Toni was the Octopus, cooked with a bit of paprika and of course olive oil.  But the official post has to be the melting clock.

Baaaa .......AHHHHH!

Today is Tuesday in Barcelona, it is the first official day for the trip.  We had a great night last night.  All the Partners and the local team her had a chance to mingle.  Getting this thing off the ground really made it all worthwhile.

Today the partners and I headed to the office for some training while the guests went to the Outlet mall.  We owe John Stevens a big one for hanging out with the lady's.  The afternoon and evening activity was a cooking class and a Visit to St Josep the largest market in Barcelona to buy everything we needed to make our Spanish dinner.  The team did an amazing job!!! Plus we had blast!

The market was an amazing place, for the California folks think of it as an Asian supermarket, outdoors with Spaniards.  For the Philly crowd it most resembles Reading Terminal.  I shot some very nice pictures of fruits and vegetables then I came to meat section!!!!!

I will let the first picture doing the talking and the second show the reaction of Mina(our Travel Guide and new friend) and Jamie....have I explained yet that Jamie is a Vegetarian?

Mrs. Gaudi's Plates

Today is Monday in Barcelona, I think....Jamie and I are more confused about sleeping and clocks than anything else.  We had the typical European Jet lag issue.  We went to bed around 11 last night and were wide awake at 3am.  Then finally fell back asleep around 5, after facetiming back home.

Today the rest of the crew came in.  We waited for Doug and his son Mark.  We decided today would be Parc Guell, for those of you who are not in the know, this is one of the most know sights in Barcelona and the home of the Barcelona Dragon (http://www.parkguell.es/en/portada), yes another Dragon in my Blog!!

We took the cool double decker open air bus to the Park.  Whne we go there the park was packed, which took a little fun out of it.  But the Lenoue's, Elffers and Bonfiglio-Cattanach's still had a blast....we also had a 4 1/2 mile hike back to the hotel....but as Ed said, "it was all downhill".  The rewards at the end were Tapas and Beer!!!

I am posting a couple of pictures today, Dragon number 4 in the Blog this year, this time a "Barcelona Dragon".  I also took a very cute picture of Ed and Ann, which had to go up as we love Ed and Ann.  Of course, one of Doug and Mark.... with a Spire growing out of Doug shoulder...but I did it on purpose.  But the official post of the day answers the question that Mrs Gaudi has been wondering for years...."Where the heck are my dishes??"...Look up Mrs Gaudi.... look up.

Just Bread, Tomato and Olive Oil

So we made it!  Fortunately we had a tail wind the whole way from Philly to Barcelona.  The great news was the 9 hour flight only took 8 hours, the bad news, we didn't sleep a wink.   The better news is no meltdowns on the plane either!!!!

I of course had the girl behind me that could not connect in her mind that the seat headrest that she was pulling on to sit down and shift was actually attached to me and that "thump" sound was the headrest snapping back and hitting my head!!

Anyway,  we got to Spain very early and very exhausted, too early for our rooms to be ready.  So we rambled down Las Ramblas for a couple of hour with Ed and Ann.  Then got into our rooms around noon and napped for 4 hours....only made us more tired which is why the blog is getting cut short.

The room is fantastic!  We have a suite that is cut off by all these sliding door for privacy or in the case of this evening to present a surprise.  We had a quick dinner in the hotel, amazing wait staff.

I am probably going to stretch the rules of the blog this week and post multiple pictures.  Tonight there are three.  The third one was the view from where we were sitting at dinner, with a very cool marble fixture, to announce the hotel.  The second is the view from our balcony.  The first, and the official blog post is one of the happinesses you find in Barcelona.  I know it is just bread smeared with fresh sweet tomatoes and Olive Oil, but it is amazing. Plus for some reason I have tried to make it and it just not as good.

We have a cooking class on Tuesday night, I am going to ask the chef how to make the bread...I just hope I don't get thrown out of the class for asking a dumb Question.

Take Off

Today is finally the day that we fly to Barcelona!  As I was writing the title for today blog I realized I could have called it "Take off you hoser, eh!", because I was taking my assigned Canadian to Spain with me.  I think is why I am so looking forward to this Barcelona trip over the past 3.

Unfortunately my assigned Canadian is so not looking forward to the 9 hour flight.  I mean really 9 hours on a plan with me?!?!? Sheesh.

Today was the classics last day before travel, too much to do and one last minute gotcha, but we got to hang with the parents, Pops got Dunkin Donuts so he was happy.  I got to pick up Mom from dialysis, where I was introduced to her nurses with my given name.....This is "my son from California".  Poor Dad, he spent so much time deciding on the name Gregg.  That all I needed to do to ruin it was to move 2700 miles away.

I am happy to report that while I didn't not see Kristin and Patrick today.  That I also didn't have kill him yet.  I guess that means his chances for survival are improving.

Blog to you from Barcelona tomorrow.

Double Date

In Philly today, one more day then on to Barcelona!

We spent the day on some last minute items.  Then today was scheduled to be the first of the days you dread as a parent, especially when you are a parent of a Daughter.  Today we met the first real boyfriend.  Yes Kristin, number 1 daughter has a boyfriend.... Patrick....half Irish, so yeah I only half like him...the Italian side.  But as the dad that is the most he can expect, it is my job not to like him!!!

Because Toni said so, we had to take a picture of them.  Picture number two today is Kristin and Patrick.  Kristin hates the picture! She says her hair wasn't long enough and she was too pale and blah blah blah...I basically stopped listening to her.  I hate it because I took it with the G11 and not the 7d.  Patrick said he looks good in it!  Ok the boy has some chops.

The idea was we were going to go to dinner, just the 4 of us, until PopPop(my dad) decided that was a dumb idea.  The whole family was going to the Pub!!  For those of you from Jersey, you know how exciting that was for me!!!

However, before dinner I decided we needed  a little bonding time, so we decided to race first.  So we went to Speed Raceway.  I was nice, I let Patrick win.

Jamie was the official photographer tonight(until I whooped her butt in Air Hockey), I gave her sorta of a real camera to shoot with this time, set it to manual and taught her to pan.

The official blog post is of Kristin racing, we made her look faster than she actually drove, I think she wanted to let me win.

Life it too uncertain

4:30 wake up, hour drive to LAX, Parking, TSA, 5 hour flight.  Not that great of a day.  Then came the suggestion, so when do we stop at Rita's?  Well we were heading out to dinner with my Nieces and Nephew.  But as Jamie always says "Life is uncertain, have dessert first!"  Ya know it was a great day.

West Coast "You Know" went to Rita's , now Rita's needs to get opening in West Coast...OC....June !!!! Reggie hurry!!!!

Rule Breakers!

So today is it, the wrap up day.  Yesterday's blog was all about progress, today is all about completion.  We had one day to get everything done before we had to leave for Philly and then Barcelona.  The important thing was to pick up Maga at the airport.  She is in charge this week!

We got Maga, then I got down to the final cleaning up every bit of final customer requirements I had left open.  Then Jamie and I had to pack.  I will leave out all comments around brown sweaters and just compliment Jamie on her choices!  Really looking forward to Barcelona.

So work is done, bags are pack, house is in security lock down mode.  Then.....our first violation of the house rules!!!!

No dogs on the bed!!  FYI there are 3 beds in Toni's room.

Progress

Jamie and I are leaving for Philadelphia and Barcelona on Thursday.  Plus, Grandma aka Maga is coming in to hang with Toni, Baxter and Maya while we are away.  So as you can imagine there are a ton of things to get done before we leave Thursday.  Plus our flight early so we are up at the crack of Dawn to make it to LAX, plus before that Maga comes in tomorrow and the house is not Mother in Law proof yet.

I had a well thought out plan to get so much accomplished today, Jamie too....but of course we made no progress on our plan.  Needless to say tomorrow will be a short blog and no doubt a quick picture, probably some curse words mixed in as well.

I am pretty bummed that I made no progress today.  So I figured I would at least honor someone who did make progress.....on January 14th of this blog I posted a picture of Baxter and a soccer ball, please view Jan 14th photo as a reference first, go ahead, I will wait.........

.......Welcome back......

Baxter, I would like to congratulate you on your progress, at least someone accomplished something today.

Sometimes the Big Guy Just Does it Better

Tonight, well actually last night as the PhotoBlog Cop Jamie has reminded me several times today that I never posted my bog.  I reminded her that I did not break the rule, I still took a shot...several actually... to fulfill my commitment.

You see Monday night was sort of the official start to soccer season again.  We moved fields this year to Irvine's Great Park, the news in planned living communities in Orange County, CA.  Well this is the humongous Orange Balloon which was just calling me to shoot it.  So the pooch and I left the practice for a while to go shoot it.  It will be a very funny post for another day when either we go back to the field for practice or I take a lame picture and don't want to post it.

Anyway after the boy and I took some balloon and Carousel photos and I thought how great of an artist I am becoming....cough cough...the big artist in the sky had to once again put me in my place.  So it is his artwork that is going to be shown on this blog post day.

Nice job God....just showing off huh?!?!

Reuse for the Return

This post is going to be brief as the PC I use for Photos has a virus and I need to reimage.  Nice work McAfee!!!

Toni and her friend Brittyn were back at it at Ventura College for more work with ODP.  Needless to say they are both exhausted, kind of hoping Toni goes to bed early, I need to remind Jamie that I missed her.  Her constant snoring wasn't in my ear last night so I didn't sleep because it was too quiet.  What!!! I'm joking!!!geez!!!!

Today among other things I created banners for both Toni and Brittyn congratulating them on making the cut.  I hung Brittyn's on her door for when they got home.  The were very surprise and very grateful.  Of course it is a bit rainy today and all I really had was Photo Paper so I have to reprint them for permanent indoor hanging.  Of course those files are on my other PC so I am hoping that Carbonite backed it up before the virus or I am going to have to recreate....I doubt it(UPDATE!! Thank You Carbonite, it did back up the file!!).

So today's picture is going to be of the banner hanging on our garage, I was going to save the actual file and post it but that point is moot now.  So I will crop and post the close up as the second picture.

Fun

Saturdays are supposed to be fun.  This one should have been no exception.  Toni and Jamie were overnight last night in Ventura for the next round of ODP for Toni.  Baxter went to play with his friends at Doggie Day Care, then with his Pal Mr. Paul until I got home from Ventura.

Saturdays aren't suppose to be stressful.  This one was....for the parents.  Today was the next round of cuts for Olympic Development for Cal South.  There were 6500 girls in U11 for Cal South this year, today ODP was cutting down to 40-45 girls.  We had 4 girls from our team, Toni, Brittyn, Yordan, and McKenna who all played their butts off and need to be proud of what they accomplished....while the parents stressed.

I played hockey for 11 years in the nets, a very stressful position, I coach Hockey for just as long and also football for another 11 years.  Nothing prepares you for the stress of being a parent in a sport, or in a situation like this.  Sure we watched Toni face penalty kicks in Tournaments, League and State Cup before.  But this was something different.  Fortunately for me, I was able to hide behind my camera and shoot.

The pictures aren't great because the weather was so grey and crappy.  But what cut through the grey was just how much fun the girls were having, sure they were having a great training experience and then would have to sit through cuts.  But this should just be about fun.  So as I was shooting Brittyn for one last go around. Toni was already done, sitting with new friends, friends that she battled with as competitors during the year, reminding us this is also supposed to be fun.  All I kept hearing was Toni laughing out loud.

More important than the soccer, Saturdays are supposed to be fun.

Let me take one more minute to set up the pictures, yes plural, as we see the return of Jamie as a contributor to the blog.  Her picture, the first one is the official blog post...Fun.  The second one is the picture I took right after the laugh out loud moment...Fun.  The third is the cool ironic one of Brittyn trying to score against Toni's team while she was in the net.

Oh did I mention Toni and Brittyn made the cut?!!!!

After Sunset

Lots of things going on today and tonight.  The girls are already up at Ventura for ODP tryouts tomorrow, I miss them already.  Went to dinner with Mr. Paul tonight, solved the world problems as always.  Coming home I knew I didn't have a picture for the day yet, then I noticed the sliver of the moon over the hill as I was driving home.  Thought it would be a cool shot.

I got home went out back to shoot it, learned I was wrong about the cool part.  But I realized that as many times as I have shot the view from the backyard, I never really included the actual backyard.  It is small, but it is ours so it makes it special.  I lit the torches to give it some depth, plus I love the way the smell.  Then Baxter parked in the photo, stood still for the whole 8 second exposure.

I even caught the moon through the tree branches on the left.

Final Tune up

Felt great to sleep in my own bed again last night.  Really great!  Today was a crazy busy day, it started with a long venture on the precor machine.  A very busy successful selling day. In the middle of the day I had a couple of loose ends that needed to be tied down and some projects that need my attention, you know taking care of the bottom line, that sort of thing.

We finished off the day with Toni doing a private training with Victor her Keeper Coach, it was Toni's last workout before ODP tryouts this weekend.  She looked great, once she learned the difference between here left and her right.

I decided to video a bit of it and of course shoot it.  I did get some great shots, it was hard to decide on our favorite.  I also got some of Jamie too, so I am probably going to sleep with one eye open.  But ultimately I let Jamie choose her favorite.  It is all about the tip drill and the flying!

Good luck this weekend Toni, McKenna, Yordan and Brittyn.

House Call

Whatever happened to Doctors making house calls?....no I will not make an Obamacare joke here.  These doctors still make house call, but only on Plotters.  Today Frank and I made a house call on them.  Always good to see my boys, especially when they are kicking ass.  Only bummer, no sushi today.

It is actually surprising that Frank and I hung out for a couple days and we never had sushi.  But it was more important for me to get home early today, there are so many reasons to get home early and so many things to do, lots of loose ends to tie up.

But before we left I needed more of my friends to show up on my Photoblog and Darren needed a Facebook photo.

Ouch!

Final night in Arizona, thank god!! I can't wait to be home.  Today was the day of opposites.  We had the most boring long meeting with a customer today.  Then we had a great high energy dinner with another.  I have been in Arizona probably 20-25 times and I never took a picture of a Cactus.  I love these little ball cactus, so I shot one.  Then I tried to find a slightly different angle for it.

Both pictures posted,  I still have "work" to do tonight and need to be up early sorry for the short blog, but at least you have 2 pictures.

Sand and Rain Storms

Against my preference I had to head to Arizona.  I just had a very nice week at home, would have loved to stay there, but no such luck.  But only two more nights and I am pretty much done leaving my beautiful fiance' until I whisk her off to Barcelona.

The weather all morning at home was crazy, Baxter found out the hard way that it was really cold outside.  The girls then took him for a walk before school...it rained on them.  Then someone turned on the fans!!  I found out the hard way that wind that comes from the Pacific Ocean makes for the "reach for the air sick bag" in Phoenix.

Even between the bouncing it was amazing to see from the plane's window, a huge yellow cloud of sand engulfing the Valley of the Sun.  Sand blowing so hard that at times it hurt your face just walking into the rental car center.  All afternoon the skies in AZ were thick and orange, it looked like Southern California during fire season.

I am staying at the beautiful Doubletree Resort in Scottsdale, all the rooms all have outdoor entries, and yes every time I left my room, it started to down pour.

I realized as I was heading to my car for dinner that I hadn't taken my Photoblog picture yet(yes had to go back to the room for my camera).  Shoot, I could have taken the sand or the rain.  Then I laughed to myself as I walked to my car, Sand...Rain...Gee I wonder what happens when you mix a down pour with a sand storm...I got the answer when I saw my rental car....MUD!!!!

Pool Party

We must be crazy.  Finally a weekend with no soccer and what do we do?  Go hang out with the Soccer Team!  Today was the "End of the Season - Way to go at State Cup" Party.  Fortunately we live in Southern California where you can get pool weather in April.  Also fortunately we have a very generous family, the Mongelos, who are crazy enough to open their amazing home to this crowd.  Thanks again, and I am ready to move in.

I am heading to Phoenix tomorrow for 2 nights, insert pouty face here, so I don't have a lot of time to type tonight.  I want to spend time with my beautiful Fiance as opposed to my ugly keyboard.

I took a couple of pictures today, however it is time for another contributing photographer.  Today it is Toni.  I put the underwater housing on the G11 and turned it over to Toni who had her own little underwater model Kendal's sister Karly.  Toni took a bunch of really good pictures but all the ones with Karly were perfect.  Below was one of the best.

Ball?!?!?!

I know I told everyone the blog theme today would probably be the Horse show.  Well we got in the car ready to go down to the show to again watch people teach expensive horses to jump over the fence.  Then the phone rang.  Unfortunately our friend Mel's horse had a hoof crack and they were holding him out of competition today.

So no horse show.

Well since the dog was already in the car and he needed a bit of exercise, we decided to take him to the park and let him chase the ball.  He chases very well, but I think has a bit of depth perception and runs right over the ball laying in the grass until he crash lands then runs back for it.  I think the depth perception is the same reason why when I get down on my hands and knees to pet him that he comes running at me and smashed that hard head of his into mine.

We hung out at the park for about a half hour, I was shooting the whole time.  I got a ton of great pictures but am only allowed to post one...or in this case two.  They follow each other, the second picture is actually the Official photo of the day, but I need the first one as a set up before it.  Notice the ball on the upper right of the second picture which was the object of Baxter's desire.

I did get a couple great pictures of Jamie, which of course she hates, she says she looks terrible, I told her she looks beautiful....but I am way to smart to post one here.

Missed the Jump

Today is the final day of my vacation.  But it feels like I worked all day.  I tried to drive home from Vegas yesterday after my Open House event but I only made it as far as Victorville when the radio got too boring and the clock got too late.

I woke up in Victorville and immediately started on the phone, it never seemed to end.  My buddy Hien was in town so we met up for lunch. Jamie's friend Mel is up from San Diego jumping at the Oaks.  Can you imagine!  You buy an expensive horse and the first thing you do is teach it to jump over a fence!!  It is like buying a expensive dog and teaching it run in the street.

Whatever....

So Mel was jumping at "around" 4pm, we drove down the Oaks, got there at 4:05, right when Mel's horse was being put into the Stable.  But I still needed to take a shot, so I shot other people jumping expensive horses over fences.

The sad part, as soon as I put the camera away, a horse decided he wanted his rider to jump over a fence....without him.

Tomorrow we will make sure we take great pictures of Mel.  It will be my blogs first back to back topic.

April First Flowers

There are so many reasons to buy someone special flowers.  In our house April 1st is one of the special days. This time it just seemed like an arrangement of everything just made sense.  I mean really, what do you get the person that means everything to you.

The fun part of this story is the lady at the florist who put the bouquet together.  I made a comment about the colors she chose, that they were Lakers colors.  Then she went into the whole reason they are playing so bad this year.  It is a good thing she is not the GM or the Lakers would be on their 3 head coach this year.

It is alive!

Another Vacation day.  I went golfing with the boys, pretty cool.  We played Black Gold in Yorba Linda.  It is a great course, kicked my butt a bit, to steal a line form Happy Gilmore, I spent"more time in the Sand than David Hasselhoff".

Toni is still spending time with her Dad and Crazy Aunt, if I could posted the videos I would.  I thought Toni's singing was great until I saw her dancing!  Anyway, Jamie and I are spending quality time together and enjoying every moment of it.  Tonight her experiment was to get me drunk, it worked.

But I still have to post my blog, it is the rule, or she secretly beats me!! Help Maga!!!  I was never one to drunk dial or drunk text, but I have to tell you drunk blogging is a whole new experience.  Plus, I think I an starting to hallucinate.

My photo today was of the cool purple flowers we find in the Southern California deserts especially on golf courses.  This one even ate my ball!!!  I thought it was going to be a boring photo just to meet my blog requirement and the photo nag wouldn't have to beat me.

But I just realized that the flowers were Alive and they were actually Aliens!!!! If you look closely you will see that one of the Alien flowers morphed into a human life and escaped!!!! Be careful if you encounter him, you will notice he is armed with a golf club!! Stay far away and do not mention Obama, it will only agitate him!!!

Slow Down and ....

Today, I interrupted my vacation to go down to San Diego to help a teammate with an install.  But I figured my Harley wasn't going to be done until later in the afternoon, Jamie had to work, Toni was with her dad, plus I always get a great photo driving down to San Diego...and today did not disappoint.  And the photo wasn't bad either.

The drive down was spent on the phone, plus the weather was crappy so not photographing the ocean on marines.  I knew I was going to Miramar, yes the same Miramar, Fightertown USA... Top Gun and the midget Tom Cruise.  I figure while I was there I would shoot a Marine Jet...not literally in case the FBI is monitoring this blog.   Although, I was worried because the Canon G11 is a little slow on the shutter, so I would have to pane to catch the action without blur.

Then as I was walking into the San Diego Credit Union to do the install, I felt the rumble at me feet and heard from above the roar of an F18 or F19 "whatever it took".  I was just about to shot overhead when I realized all the action was on the ground.

I guess he was going to make a desposit at the Credit Union.
